Abstract

The human interest in knowing about others is said to have led to the emergence of communication. Communication in literature is the study of how messages, ideas and information are exchanged through literary texts. Literature helps to transmit information from one time to another. Literature is a cause of social change. One of the 96 types of literary forms, the literary form of Dudu literature, is a part of communication. The hero or heroine sends a message of love to express the nature of their love and to express their sorrow when they are separated. The event of sending a letter is mentioned in the Silappadhikaram in two places. This is also a part of communication. Aavaiyar sent a message to the king named Thondaiman Ilandiraiyan to urge him not to wage war on behalf of the king named Adhiyaman. The communication that has developed in this way has reached such a stage that today the news happening somewhere in one corner can be conveyed to the people in the next second.
