There are adverse perspectives about feminism among people. Some mistakenly believe that feminism is about opposing men. In truth the aim of feminism is to liberate women from oppression, provide them with education, and build astrong foundation for their struggle toward equality, to achieve this goal, women advocating for their right have empowerment using forms such as poetry, short stories and novels to raise awareness and inspire social change. In the situation, kerala in the 19th century, social reformer named K.P. Karuppan adviced feminist ideas through his literature and social activities. The aim and purpose of the article is to examine the feminist ideas that have been expressed through literature, emphasized women's liberation as a part of social reform.
