Abstract

The theme of a literary work is often derived from human life and social experience. To convey this content effectively, the writes employs various techniques. These techniques enrich the work with depth meaning and aesthetic beauty. They play a vital role in clearly expressing the author’s in tended message. Among such techniques, simile holds a special place as both a stylistic and aesthetic device in literary creations. In this context, the present paper explores the significance and use of similies in So. Dharman’s Novel ‘Sool’
