Abstract

In the story ”The thief's three miracles” , Thekkan is created as the main character who engages in the business of theft. Theft is the opposite of virtue.

Thieves harass anyone who interferes with their business. They live comfortably with the things they have stolen. They like to escape from mistakes and punishments. Thekkan's character is created in contrast to these characteristics. S. Ramakrishnan has created through the character of Thekkan that thieves also have humanity and compassion for other lives.
