Abstract

Historians have two methods for understanding the ancient world. One is archaeology and the other is primary sources. Ancient history is the period from the time when history began to be written down to the early Middle Ages. The abstract describes the lifestyle, customs, beliefs, arts, professions, diet, language, race, and caste of the people of ancient times.
