In the 1990s, due to Government Policies such as Liberalization, Privatization, and Globalization, and the Nationalization of Ambedkar’s works in the centenary decade of his birth, marginalized creative works and research trends prevailed. In this context, Ranajit Guha and his team identified their research as Subaltern studies. The term “Subaltern” refers to the experiences of the oppressed and those pushed to the margins of society. Farmers, Women, Refugees, Transgender individuals, Slaves, Dalits, Black people, Workers, Tribals, Linguistic minorities, and Religious minorities are prioritized in these studies. Amid the current postcolonial context, where feminist research is rapidly progressing, this article focuses on the Colonial Patriarchal dominance portrayed in the novel “Saigon - Puducherry” and explores these patterns through Postcolonial feminist theory.
