Abstract

Tamils excelled in all the arts. Artists who excel in the art of sculpture are known as librarians, carpenters, blacksmiths, masons, those who excel in the art of painting are known as eye painters, and those who excel in the art of music and dance are known as panar, kuthar, viraliyar and poranar. The artists associated with music were more specialized in literature than the artists of other fields. This is because information about people who have mastered other arts is not recorded in the literature. But this article will also help you to know the specialities of music related to the life and life of the Phanar, Kuthar, Viraliyar, Bharunar etc. associated with music.
