Abstract

Research work of Tamil Literature change in different parameter in day to our life.  By this manner, Tamil classical Literature is researching by Modern Principles applied in research scholar and critics.  This paper examined by Psychoanalysis approaches in Kuruntoki songs, particularly in Velli Vethiyyar song(27) and Avaiyyar song(28).  Above these two songs came under the Psychoanalysis  principles.   Sigmund Freud and Edmund Wilson’s Psychoanlaytic principles applied in these two songs.  From this research, we point out that the expressions of unconscious mind of Thalaivi’s feelings like emotions, anxiety, hopelessness are phantomized in parable and metaphor. Velli Vethiyar songs, Thalaivi expressed her feelings in smooth and transparent manner but Avaiyyar songs are harshed and transparent manner.  We can see Thalaivi’s spontaneous expressions of powerful feelings both poets songs.  Tradition of Agam trespassed through these two poets songs.  The suppressed or oppressed of Thalaivi’s, conscious and unconscious mind joined together and  became a good songs or arts. Freud’s Psychoanlaytic theory conincied with these two poets songs.
