There has been a connection between the Tamil language and mathematics since ancient times. Tamils considered mathematics as their own and associated and bound accounting with their lives. It can be seen that not only poets including the mathematician Kani Medaviyar and Kaniyan Poongundranar, but also ordinary people were knowledgeable in mathematics. It is astonishing to see that Tamils were at the peak of mathematical knowledge back then, compared to today's era, which has seen rapid growth in mathematics. Starting from a simple understanding of Pythagoras' theorem to the precise calculations of pumpkin seeds, the mathematical sophistication of the Tamils is immense. This article is designed to reveal some of that sophistication.
